One of the main indicators of the level of development and well-being of a society is undoubtedly the level of art, beauty and quality. Islam attaches great importance to art. The extremely fine examples of Islamic art that have left many traces in areas such as in architecture and literature, is one of the clearest indicators of this.
Although the first things that come to mind when one mentions the art are the branches of art like painting and music, believers are not limited to these and apply the art and beauty in all areas of their lives, in the greatest possible extent. The high quality is evident in the lives of believers when cleanliness, one of the most important features of Islamic morality, combined with art and beauty.
The art and beauty in dress and appearance
Believers are people who strive to represent the faith of God at every moment and in every respect. They therefore pay close attention to the external appearance.
Some people make the mistake of interpreting the fact of taking care of his clothes and his appearance as a move towards the life of this world or seeking the approval of others. Yet thanks to the quality, cleanliness and the attention they pay to their appearance, as their behavior, believers invite people to the beauty and nobility of Islamic moral values. Our Prophet (saas) said in the hadith that dressing well is not pride:
"God is beautiful and loves beauty, dress well is not pride, pride lies in the rejection of truth and contempt for the people." (Kutub-i Sitte, [Les Six Books] Translation and Commentary by Dr. Ibrahim Canan, Vol. 7, Akçağ Press, Ankara, p. 208)
Our Prophet (saas) always wore the best and most stylish clothing as possible at all times, and always recommended it to the Companions. Hazrat Hassan (as), the grand-son of the Prophet (saas) described the perspective of God's Messenger (saas) on dress as follows:
"Our Prophet (pbuh) ordered us to wear the best clothes and we had to use the best perfumes that we could find." (Bukhari, at-Tarih al-Kabir, I, 382, No. 1222)
Taking care of his clothes is an explicit commandment of God in the Qur'an. Surah al-Mouddattir said:
And your clothes cleanse them. (Qur'an Mouddattir 4-5)
Faith demands that the clothes are clean and well maintained. Since our Prophet (saas) attached great importance to cleanliness, it also considered the maintenance of the beard and hair, the outer appearance as very important. Some sources report that he used to carry combs, mirroring its a mishwak, toothpicks, scissors and kohl. (Ali al-Qari, Jam'ul Wasail-fi ash-Sharh Shamail, Istanbul, p. 96-97)
Art and beauty in residential areas
Believers seek all times the maximum acceptable to God. They strive with all their strength to raise their moral values to those of Paradise, the people beloved of God.They also try to make their homes as close as possible descriptions of Paradise.Believers make their homes attractive by keeping them clean, bright and not overloaded with unnecessary items. They try to choose harmonious accessories, decorate their homes with flowers or pictures, and they can even renew their household goods, they change their place at least occasionally to give an impression of variety.
It is a serious mistake to think that it is not necessary or that it is a waste of time to take care of home maintenance. The fact that the Qur'an speaks of the beauty of the palace of the Prophet Solomon (as) is a sign of the importance of the subject. The beauty of the palace and the actual nature of the message he sent to the Queen of Sheba are described as follows in Surat an-Naml:
We said, "Enter the palace." Then, when she saw him, she took him to deep water and bared her legs. So [Solomon] said, "This is a crystal pavé palace". - She said, "Lord, I am indeed wronged myself: I submit with Solomon to Allah, Lord of the universe." (Surat an-Naml, 44)
The alteration in societies devoid of art
Companies devoid of art and beauty, with people deprived of quality, have large gaps.Members of these companies do not have broad horizons and are still behind in all areas. Some examples of alteration caused by living without art:
They lose the ability to be attentive
Living devoid of art and beauty kills all the delicacy of the human soul. The lack of care that such a person shows in his daily life and his personal toilet can also be seen in his speech and behavior. The coarse and inappropriate language that such people employ towards their family, friends and even when shopping, etc. immediately attracts attention.
This behavior, just the opposite of the concept of quality of Islam, can also have a detrimental effect on the heart people are warming to Islam. Allah reveals in the Qur'an that Satan seeks to divide the believers and orders them to pay attention to their speech. The Surah al-Isra says:
And tell My servants to say the best for Satan sows discord among them.Satan is for man an open enemy. (Sura al-Israel, 53)
Therefore they take care of their appearance and their living spaces, believers develop the ability to think very carefully. Pay particular attention to details and ensure these issues enables believers to more easily see the details in all subjects and to think carefully. This way, they do not choose their words when they speak recklessly but with great attention to the language they use. As mentioned in the above verse, it is a very important issue that strengthens the bonds of brotherhood among the believers.
They are unable to observe the art and beauty in nature
The sensitivity to the artistic structures that surround them largely weakens in people who do not seek to make art dominant in their lives. One of the negative consequences of this is a child, a beautiful flower or a cute kitten produces no good effect in the soul of these people. They are unable to feel in their soul the excitement of seeing the art of God in these entities.
However, a person who takes care of his clothes, notes the elegant creation of a flower, notice the beauty of hair, see the fur of a cat is always brilliant and decorating his own house well, probably better appreciate the 'harmony of colors in a sunset that it has witnessed, because it is more sensitive to sensations produced by these delights. Believers know that every beautiful thing they see is a manifestation of God's beauty and that beauty gives them a sense of peace in their heart. A better appreciation of beauty leads them to remember God and to thank Him more.
They are not diligent in religious observances
Art and beauty are of great importance in the work done for the faith. The main goal of a Muslim is to fight against atheism. As everyone knows, atheism took an alleged scientific appearance with the theory of evolution, it is important that Muslims are meticulous and are paying attention to all the details in their struggle against atheism because the fundamental objective of these activities is to show the reality of creation to people who have been deceived by the lies of Darwinism that seem scientific. The appearance and attractive aesthetics and craftsmanship in every work (be it a website, a book or a documentary) will increase people's desire to look more near and therefore, by the permission of Allah, to improve its impact.
However, it is immediately obvious that a work is sloppy so could have undesirable consequences, such as the destruction of the potential impact of the work in question.
It is obvious that people who lived close to the art and beauty in daily life will also be weak when it comes to emotional labor in the name of faith. These people do not even pay attention to their own personal appearance will inevitably miss many important details in the activities they undertake. Some do not even manage to see the real danger against which Muslims must direct their attention is the Darwinist-materialist system. While aware of the danger of atheism, they can fall into the error of simply criticizing other Muslims rather than work effectively against this threat.
However, Muslims are people who constantly seek to make as many services as possible to the religion of God and looking to win his agreement to the fullest extent.They are careful to avoid the kind of person described in these words of Surah al-Hajj: It is among the people who worship Allah marginally. (Sura al-Hajj, 11) . The Qur'an reveals how Muslims compete in the path of God:
They believe in Allah and the Last Day, enjoin right and forbid the wrong, and compete in doing good. These are among the righteous. (Sura al Imran 114)
They cause an aversion in the heart of people who do not know Islam
Islam is a faith that houses all that is beautiful, noble and of high quality. The Muslim is the most honest, virtuous and of the highest quality imaginable. The true Islam revealed in the Qur'an is something that everyone would envy.
However, a lifestyle devoid of art and beauty, an arid lifestyle supposed to represent Islam leads to a false prejudice as to the essence of Islam in the heart of those who do not know him. This is one of the main reasons why many people today tend toward atheism. This will undoubtedly be a rebound in the heads of those who do not seek to achieve the quality required by Islam, and live messy and unhygienic manner, misinterpreting the faith superficially. (Allah knows the truth).
As described in the story of the Prophet Solomon (as) in the Qur'an, Muslims must adopt the art and beauty as an effective way to preach the word. Fully comply with the Koran on this issue will contribute to the rapid spread of Islam throughout the world.
Preaching the word to the Queen of Sheba, the Prophet Solomon (as) had brought the own throne of the queen and wished him welcome in his palace. The work of art and decoration of the palace had a huge impact on the Queen of Sheba and helped him win the faith. The behavior and preventing the use he made of art can be seen at every stage of speech communication. This method of preaching revealed in the Qur'an is a method that all Muslims should apply.

All that has been said here shows how an arid life devoid of art causes damage to the Muslims. All Muslims must strive to achieve a high level of art, beauty and quality, things that occupy an important place in Islam.
